B2B Influencers are a powerful strategy

Whether you’re a large enterprise or a small startup, standing out from the noise is harder than ever.

AI slop is real and it’s making B2B buyers more cautious about who and what they trust.

That’s where B2B influencer marketing comes in.

It gives companies a way to express a genuine point of view and cut through the noise with credibility. Done well, it’s less about promotion and more about perspective.

Video, in particular, is the most powerful format for B2B influencers. It builds connection, nuance, and trust in a way no blog post or gated eBook ever can.

So who should be an influencer?

As a B2B SaaS marketer, I’ve always leaned on a mix of:

  • Internal thought leaders

  • Strategic partners

  • External subject-matter experts

The hardest part isn’t the strategy. It’s the commitment. Getting busy experts to show up consistently, make the time, and get on camera, all while leadership is pushing for immediate lead volume.

And yes, influencer videos aren’t always easy to tie directly to individual leads.

But they are often far more powerful than any form-fill asset.

Because people buy from people they trust.

That’s why B2B influencer marketing is quickly becoming one of the most effective strategies for building brand trust and, ultimately, driving demand.

In the age of AI, how else do you build trust if not through real people sharing real knowledge and insights?

Curious to hear how others are approaching this. Please share.
